Our Story:
A comic shop should be a place where people can discuss their favorite books, get great service, and not be gouged by high prices. A comic shop should present to its customers a comfortable, easy-going shopping environment. Customer loyalty should be rewarded, not taken advantage of.
We detest the image of "comic dealers", shady characters who horde books they think might be of value and sell them for astronomical prices, all while being virtually unapproachable, and sometimes downright rude. The world needs a better class of comic shop!
With that in mind, Rob Sinnott and Kevin Hickey formed Sidekick Comics Inc. in 2008 with the acquisition of Stadium Comics, a store that has served Brampton, Ontario for over 20 years. With Stadium as their base of operations, Rob and Kevin began building upon their vision of making the local comic store a fun place to shop again.
Now Rob and Kevin are expanding their reach onto the internet with sidekickcomics.ca - Canada's premiere Comic Book subscription site. Our website will follow the same principles as our brick and mortar operation. We will provide you with a fun and interesting place to shop online where your loyalty will be rewarded with great service and even greater prices!
Stadium Comics:
Brampton's Coolest Comic Store has been a fixture in Brampton for over 20 years. Operating out of Shoppers World in Brampton, Ontario, Stadium was acquired by Sidekick Comics Inc. in 2008. Since that time, Stadium has not only established itself as THE place to buy comics for those in the know, but as also a great place for comic culture. Stadium regularly hosts artist signings and other special events.
Stadium Comics has a large selection of comics, graphic novels, original artwork, toys, manga, gaming, apparel, and sports cards. It's also a great place to pick up your subscription books if you're in the Greater Toronto Area!
